One of the primary role that street medics and street medicine have historically filled is providing medical aid to the unhoused community, and at Street Medics Austin we are proud to continue that tradition. In partnership with other local organizations we build and distribute medical essentials and first aid kits, serve meals, and facilitate pop up medical clinics for people experiencing homelessness in Austin. Additionally, during times of extreme weather (especially freezes), we activate to help at warming centers, provide weather based medical care and supplies, and connect individuals to resources as we are available.
